I haven't tasted the eggs, shortening, or butter, but on the Shelf Reliance site the eggs and butter are highly rated in customer reviews; however the shortening is made from partially-hydrogenated soybean oil and out of 20 grams of fat per serving, 8 of those are Trans Fat. BUT I HAVE tasted the milk, and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised at the taste of this powdered milk. I don't like powdered milk...can't wait for it to be gone so I can go back to real milk. But this was the best I've ever tried. Very drinkable. It's thin and watery, not creamy and thick, but it has just the tiniest tinge of "powdered milk" flavor, instead of the usual "make you gag" wallop that most powdered milks have. I compared this to Provident Pantry and Country Cream, both of which are thicker and creamier, but they have more of the powdered milk flavor. I prefer Thrive to both of them, and will order more.

I read the reviews on the powered whole eggs on Thrive's website. So I purchased 2 cases. First, when you mix the water with the powder you get a paste of butterscotch colored goo.When you cook them, they look disgusting and I didn't think they tasted like eggs, neither did my husband or sister. They were disgusting. So since I purchased 2 cases of these, needless to say I am a little upset.I tried to leave a review on Thrive/Shelf Reliance website about these eggs and they didn't post it. So obviously they only post the 4 or 5 reviews. Please don't waste your money on a product that you may have to depend on in an emergency to live, because this product is horrible.
